- The Mayan Riviera is a scenic unspoiled region full of history.
- Not so long ago, the entire region south of Cancun was nothing more than virgin white sand beach and dense tropical mangroves. Now this 100 mile corridor, newly dubbed the "Riviera Maya" or "Mayan Riviera" has undergone tremendous transformation within only a couple of years. It is now dotted with many unique and upscale resorts and nature parks, and has gained high acclaim as one of the most desired holiday spots.

RESORT OVERVIEW
- Gran Bahia Principe is a popular, upscale Spanish hotelier whose focus is on large,full-service 5 star 24 hour all-inclusive resorts on outstanding beaches.
- The Gran Bahia Principe Akumal is a part of a complex of 2 568 rooms divided into Coba, Tulum & Akumal sections. Classes are taught at the 630 room "Akumal" section.
- Use of services and facilities in all three sections of the Bahia Principe Riviera Maya Resort - Akumal, Coba and Tulum sections - with the exception of gourmet restaurants.
- Designed by the prestigious Mexican architect, Fernando Quirarte, and inspired by the Puuc Mayan architectural period, the Gran Bahia Principe Coba resort welcomes its guests with all of Mexican's characteristic warmth. - Many wonderful food options - choice of breakfast & dinner at one of 7 sumptuous buffet restaurants. Dinner available at any one of 3 buffet restaurants. Three 24 hr snack bars are also available. No a-la-carte restaurants are included. Each evening is themed at the main buffets where the same dishes are offered at each restaurant - ie. at the Coba main buffet, the Akumal main buffet & the Tulum main buffet). Within each restaurant are many different sections offering endless possibilities including Asian with sushi bar, Italian , Mexican, bakery, huge salad bar, vegetarian selections, fruit, meats, fish, emtrees, desserts and more!

- 630rooms - standard rooms consists of 1 king or 2 double beds (to be requested locally when checking in), air conditioning, ceiling fan, mini bar (bottled water, beer, soft drinks), in-room safe ($), full bathroom, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, balcony or terrace.

- Classes everyday except for arrival and departure days held in tropical outdoor venues.
