'GIFTS'/EQUIPMENT FOR RESORTS

EQUIPMENT ‘GIFTS’ ARE REQUIRED FOR THE ALLEGRO PLAYACAR RESORT ONLY

The way the Occidental/Allegro Resorts contracts are set up is as follows:

Instructors are asked to bring down some equipment to the resort as a way of giving back and helping to purchase equipment which otherwise is hard to find and/or expensive. Suggested items include: any kind of ball - tennis racquets, tennis balls, volleyballs, soccer balls, basketballs, balls for the kids club and/or fitness equipment like shoes, stability balls, t-shirts, CD's, videos etc…

Taking down this kind of equipment allows resorts to replenish their stock regularly. This in turn benefits the instructor program. Many countries do not have access to reasonably priced sports equipment. A yoga mat or volleyball for example, is often 2-3 times what we pay for the same item in North America or Europe.
REDUCED PROGRAM FEE – For instructors traveling to the Allegro Playacar, our company charges a reduced program fee of $250 Cndn, $200 USD and $200 Euro then ask that the instructor take down items at a VALUED cost of approx $100.
OTHER ‘GIFTS’ – There is no obligation that instructors traveling to other resorts take down any form of ‘gifts’.
NRG2GO LIKES TO ‘GIVE BACK’ – Our company asks instructors to consider taking along some resources like fitness/wellness handouts or music for the Activity or Spa Staff. This is only a suggestion but when we think of all we have access to, it’s great to be able to share information this way. Most staff at resorts do not have the same opportunities to learn the latest fitness/wellness concepts as us. Handouts or notes (choreography, updates on safety, newer formats…) on the ball, pilates, yoga and aqua are always appreciated.
Many instructors like to take small gifts to give out to the Activity Teams such as souvenirs from their own countries. We encourage our instructors to do this but suggest it be done discreetly and in moderation. Our company does not want to appear like it’s giving out ‘handouts’ or playing ‘Santa Claus’.
Low cost souvenirs from the instructor’s country are always appreciated. Gently used clothes, paper and school supplies can be given out to staff at the resort or given to the public relations manager to be given to a teacher or local school or church.
